i solved that problem! but my new problem is: i can't establish a comunication with the phone client! the aplicattion always stay on the same point! "connecting with the phone client"

HI! y already installed visual studio and then i installed sql compact edition 3.5 and later i installed sms server , later of that i installed microsoft active sync and then i modify the registry of the phone and then y try the tool about the security off on the phone. but when i try to run the program appear this error: sqlceme30.dll the point is, i already installed the sql on my computer. what that error means?

Please help me with this?

I all,
I have a problem on my Windows Vista that began afetr the purchase of an external Hard Disk Freecom.
A few days afetr the purchase I disconnected it while it was writing and, since that moment, every time I connect and disconnect it, the PC go to freeze mode for 5 minutes.
The same thing happen even if the hard disk is disconnected: every time I start windows it go to freeze a little after the password, and every time I connect and disconnect a usb device.
I have looked for the solution everywhere, updated windows, unistalled and installed the hard disk from the device manager but I solved the problem only when I restored a recent backup.
Yesterday the Hard disk was writing a backup while Vista was installing the updates; at the end of the proceure windows restarted automatically and the problem began again!!!
The Pc go to freeze when it starts, every time I connect or disconnect the hard disk, an usb earphone that has always worked switch on but there is no audio and I don't know how many others usb devices will have problems.
Has anyone an idea to solve this problem before I throw out of the window Vista or the the hard disk?

Hi,

My name is Vinay.
I was looking for some knid of SMS tool for my blackberry mobile, which is when I came across the "Warana Unwired" project and the SMS tool associated with it.
Quite impressed by the implementation, I am interested in building an SMS server for a school (Non-profit motive).
I am a software developer and working in an IT company and I have experience in developing applications using .Net.
Currently I have downloaded the SMS toolkit and its prerequisites.
Will anybody please provide me some information on how to get going.

I don't have a Windows mobile phone yet.
Can I build the whole application with out the use the windows mobile phone and test the application locally.
Later I will buy a compatible phone and use it to test.

Here's what worked in my case. I created a new project template in Visual Studio 2008 and copied the code from the existing Visual Studio 2005 template, which you can find in your install folder at "MSR India\SMS Server\Installer\SMS Service.zip". Hope this helps.

You are right. I have been working so much on this that I forgot we were talking about the SMS Toolkit.

For me it doesn't work either. I got it working but doing my own code, not with the SMS Toolkit.

So, basically, I am not deploying anything on to the phone, I am simply running the SMS server client that is installed on the phone (Which uses the 2.0 on the phone) for intercepting SMS and communicating that with the Desktop agent.

The problem is OnSmsReceived never fires when the phone receives an SMS. Did you have a solution for this problem, (or is your helloWorld working fine now)?

I was talking about the 3.5 version of the CF. Windows Mobile 6 has the 2.0 version of the CF but when you deploy via Visual Studio 2008 it will automatically install the 3.5 version.

My conclusion is the 3.5 CF has problems with the interception of SMS, so the best solution is to not having it.

I am not sure I follow your solution. I have the same problem with an HTC phone running Windows Mobile 6.

What do you mean by "not install any framework on the device....manually copying and executing the files?". I did not have to install the .NET compact framework because WM6 already has that.

You need to install SQLCE on your computer. That should get rid of the error message.

I had the same problem. My solution was not to install any framework on the device. That implies not to deploy the application via Visual Studio but manually copying and executing the files.

That worked for me.

Hi to everybody, i created an scheduled task that send SMS to suscribed people, and i wanna implement some questions and answers service but the method OnSmsReceived doesn't work, my HTC has Windows Mobile 6 like the Moto Q guy, but is possible that sms sending works and sms receive doesn't?

Hi All,

The MSR India team has done a good job indeed! I have a question though: I tried using the SMS_Server_To_Excel sample to send automatic responses to incoming messages, but it didn't work.

The message is received by the Windows Mobile Phone, but there is no automatic response sent back by the Server to the sender. I've installed ActiveSync and all the other specified Software. The status message on the MSR Agent is "ActiveSync Connected Ready to carry out SMS Server Services".

Am I missing something? When I start the simulator, it shows sent and received messages from the Simulator to and from the sender (all simulated though).

Any help will be appreciated....
